Positively speaking...

I am inclined to think that early mornings are a bliss with hot blueberry muffins and a comforting veil of silence in the campus--nevermind the fact that MMS was conveniently forgotten in that picture. Alas, nothing lasts forever; as such when class begins and thats when the personal silence make way for the more busy, less contemplative side of a medstudent's life.

Classes can be enjoyable pockets of silent meditation, too--just ask the ones who could fall asleep during lectures. As much as I would love to do that (as always), the fact that the lecturer did not upload her slides to be downloaded meant that the dusty notebook in my bag is to be used again--finally. Therein went the lecture on autoimmunity, something mentioned so many times in series I have loved, it seemed like meeting a friend you have only heard so much about.

Of course, the next lecture on the healthcare system decidedly killed the absurdly jovial mood I was in after the first lecture; evidently boredom is never too far away.

Then came the chatty afternoon sessions with my friends conveniently guised under what we would call studies. Study did we, definitely; but who's to say how much we have? Much more productive, surely, was the idle gossips and senseless teasings, punctuated only occasionally with shushes laced with fury by the poor studious somebodies; who were forced to listen to our muffled peals of joy they can only envy while they drown themselves in a sea of colossal tomes

The simplest things can be so fulfilling, no?
