Dear God, I pray a meteorite strikes my medschool so I can get some cadavers.
Thou presence art graceth by Ben_CJT at 7:47 AMI woke up feeling like I could die this morning (hardly surprising), but for an altogether reason: I was actually feeling sick physically and actually considered skipping lectures for today. Conscience, however, made me drag that near-lifeless body of mine outta bed, because knowing the fact that medschool ain't cheap, I sure wasn't about to miss any class.
I did, unfortunately arrive 3 slides into the lecture.
So today's lecture was about "Bones and cartillage", again by the same lecturer I have been having throughout the whole week; not that I'm complaining, mind. So we started of with the cartilage--you know, those white stuff we chew on when we go to KFC or have our Beggar's Chicken. Very pretty cells.
Second lecture was a continuation of the first, but I was rather annoyed at how uncreative the nomenclatures can be when it comes to bones--so we have osteoblasts, osteocytes, osteoclasts, osteoids, osteon, etc etc. Now the problem is differentiating which one does what.
I guess this is what I signed up for when I came into medschool.
(personally I enjoy remembering names)
Aside from that nothing interesting happened in class aside from Dumbslut, Koreanslut and Fatslut being asked to leave the lecture hall by the lecturer for talking too much during the lectures. I symphatize for them somewhat, but not too much.
Met my case study group after lectures, but again the meeting seemed somewhat unproductive (save for a few addition to our points for presentation) and I swear I could just curl up and die if I were to go to another one of these meetings if the only person that is going to speak is the team leader, one other person and I. Needless to say (but I'm going to say it anyway) I hate silent meetings, 'cause well, the chair in my room could do so much better.
Did the usual thing in the afternoon--sleep. I'm sorta sick-y anyway.
Since it was raining during dinnertime today our excursions to the stalls are cancelled--dinner today consists of instant noodles--which invariably lead me to be hungry again not 2 hours later, so we went out for supper at 11.
Guess that's all for today. Gosh I need something interesting to happen one of these days.
