A post cut short by monotony.

Mornings can be so typical, especially for me--stuff was happening again this morning, you know, of the typical kind except the fact that we actually arrived on time for the lecture.

Then he started on Haemopoiesis, which simply put meant blood formation. For something that was only covered in 3 pages in our textbooks, 50+ slides for an hour's worth of lecture was simply overkill, even with my ability to take down notes (relatively) quickly.(I swear I'm not boasting, I think I am the only one in my batch to NOT print out the notes, instead taking them down in class in situ)

Really, he could have shortened the lecture to half (or more) and saved me a whole lot of ink. I gave up taking notes about three-quarters into the first lecture anyway.

I must say, I wasn't even remotely prepared for what was about to hit me on the second lecture. I literally dropped my pen and shut my notebook (and mind) after filling up half the page of my notes on Hemostasis, mainly because I couldn't understand what on earth the lecturer was blabbing about--and I wasn't the only one with the sentiment, too! Even oldslut with her monstrous focus exclaimed after class "that was the best lecture EVER. I couldn't even understand what he was talking about at all".

The lecture was 60 slides long.

The 1000+ paged textbook reserved only 3~5 pages for that partiular topic on clotting.

You do the math.

On the plus side, I managed to complete a sketch and a half in class after I burned out during the second lecture. I guess it wasn't so unproductive after all.

Afternoon nap as usual, but I woke up a little earlier to start on my reading since the lectures were being a pain in the you-know-where. Didn't complete much, save for summarizing the whole first lecture in 2 pages of notes. As usual, it rained like a bitch so we had to trek thru the rain to get dinner--I got pretty miffed at myy dinner, simply because I specifically asked for an extra-spicy char kuey teow, bu instead got a semi-spicy kuey teow-noodle...thing. I'm a purist by nature, and naturally I found the combination doing a gross injustice to the fact that I paid for it.

I can be such a diva at times, but hey, I'm a smart consumer. I deserve my rights.
