one of these days

Ever had one of those dreams where you wake up in cold sweat but realize after a while it wasn't so bad after all? Well I had one today, but all's well since I had to wake up earlier for CSU ANYWAY--which in retrospect was not too bad either, since for the first time in my life I actually got to administer drugs intramuscularly (i.e. using syringes)

For the kid who always wanted to play with those, it was like a fat kid in a candyshop. But ah, as all beginners do, my first shot anything but perfect; the needle in fact hit the bone (which, according to the nurse in duty would cause "extreme pain" to the patient so oops.). Subsequent  trials went about more or less about the same, at one point even being bent by the force of my stabbation (yes here's to inventing words again. Cheers.)

Still, a day in medschool wouldn't be complete without a boring lecture now, would it? Then came a semi-useless class which nearly rendered me incapacitated (with sleep), simply because Q&A sessions don't really work if there weren't any question to be asked to begin with. And then someone would make it even more of a nuisance by asking a pathology question in a microbio Q&A. The people in my batch, it seems, never fail to annoy me in all tangible ways.

The second lecture was much better (typical of any other day), though I am getting increasingly annoyed with the soldier/immune response analogy--cliche? I must admit, however the pictures of abscesses did intrigue me somewhat--as does everything else disgusting.

Anyways.

We'll be meeting the juniors tomorrow!
