Upon further questioning, it seemed that the lecture hall was lacking in seats due to some exam-taking seniors who thought that taking lectures meant for juniors will help them for their exams. It was apparently "useful", so they infiltrated our class and took the seats meant for US.
And we poor juniors had to seat on the floor like common paupers, only dressed much better.
Oh and I had friend rice for dinner. The wonders of take-away.
