Grumbles Aplenty

Exam's out to kill me, and now another one is out for my head: assignments. Okay, maybe not assignmentS, since I only have one, but this particular bitch here is one hard nut to crack (for me, that is. Feel free to prove me wrong, so long as I get to keep your work). Having said that, the only consolation I could find as of now is the fact that I will not have to submit it anytime soon--but then again with the exams coming time is probably a scarce commodity at the moment.

I blame it on my inability to write short, compact sentences (as proven with my previous posts) and to be concise. But then again, I find it impossible to summarize human genome sequencing techniques in 100 words or so (Again, feel free to prove otherwise). Of course, the imminent danger of having my crippled laptop turn off on me while I'm typing (happened once so far) does little to ease the stress.

While I'm at it, I may as well mention how this medschool is making life all the more difficult by making us do community projects DURINg the semester breaks, further compunding the damage by grading it and having it contribute to the finals. So maybe doing it is not such a hassle, but the paperworks are plain... you know what.

Visited sick Gramps in the hospital today, he seemed to have developed blisters all over his body after taking some chinese medications (the impulse to say "I told you so!" barely stifled). He otherwise looked pretty healthy to me. Of course, I went with mum, and since it was a Saturday, I went shopping with her (bought nothing, unfortunately) and hence wasted another day for studying.

At this rate the only way I could start studying is to shut myself totally from civilization.

But I can't do it. Oh well.
